Design Project #5 Visual Logic Stamps

Artist Statement

After and while creating these stamps I found that each portrayed the view point of a millennial American's view point. We often feel boxed in just as the frames of the stamps create a distance between the viewer and the images behind. In our trials of trying to participate in society as oppose to the stereotype we have received we feel we have to fight for everything we want. Thus the war paint on the Indian, soldier, and the college sports fan.
The United stamp showcases a chain link fence  that is broken showing the contrast between being united and not. The solider is shown to emphasis standing for a cause and the red spatter showing that we are willing to fight for equality.
The States stamp showcases the flag which is a reminder of the 13 original states and the 50 states we are all apart of. The Citizen or college sports fan explains how we the people make our country work.
The America stamp Showcases an American Indian to show the heritage of our country and the whole continent of America. The brightly colored feathers to showcase the southern hemisphere and the Indian the northern.
We are all apart of this nation and we all deserved to be heard.
